U.S. Grant Silver Medallion

This stunning medallion features a portrait of General Ulysses S. Grant, the conqueror of Vicksburg and the Army of Northern Virginia. On the reverse, Union and Confederate flags are crossed in tribute to both sides of the conflict. The medallion is struck in one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver, comes in Proof condition, and measures 1˝" diameter.

 

Hunley Memorial Medallion
Andrew L. Chernak. This unique pewter medallion commemorates the heroic crew of the Confederate submarine. The obverse side depicts the Hunley moving beneath the surface of the Atlantic with its torpedo at the ready, while the reverse side lists the names of the final crewmembers along with the words, "The H.L. Hunley conducted the first successful submarine attack in naval history when on the night of 17 February 1864 the Hunley sank the USS Housatonic". Measures 2 1/8" in diameter.
